You'll be switching between these two badasses across different time periods, using their unique abilities to fight the Genma demons. Samanosuke brings his iconic katana and various elemental weapons, while Jacques wields a powerful whip and a ranged weapon, offering distinct combat styles. The game refined the classic Onimusha hack-and-slash gameplay, adding new abilities like the "Oni Revive" and even more intricate puzzles. The pre-rendered backgrounds were replaced with full 3D environments, allowing for more dynamic camera angles and a seamless transition between action and exploration. And the boss battles? Oh man, they are epic, visually stunning, and will push your skills to the limit! Onimusha 3 was lauded for its gripping storyline, fantastic character models (especially Jean Reno's uncanny likeness!), fluid combat, and impressive cinematic presentation.
